The most underrated beauty secret is regular facial massage. It increases blood circulation, reduces swelling and, when done regularly, even has a firming effect as it improves muscle tone. The best thing about it is that it's completely free, sustainable and all you need is your hands.
Step-by-step instructions
Start by thoroughly cleansing your face, possibly with a light exfoliator, followed by a moisturising serum such as Floral Essence.
For the massage, it is best to use cold-pressed organic oils, which provide your skin with important nutrients and do not clog the pores. Our light, anti-inflammatory Everything Oil with grape seed, hemp and wild rose oil is ideal, for example.
How to massage correctly:
- Chin and jawline: We hold a lot of tension in our chin and jaw, so massaging this area can also help with headaches. Apply a few drops of Everything Oil and massage with your fingers in circular movements from the centre of the chin along the jawline to the ears. Repeat this 4-5 times on each side.
- Cheekbones: Start at the corners of the mouth and massage upwards towards the ears. Repeat 4-5 times.
- Temples and forehead: Finish with gentle, stroking movements on the forehead and above the eyebrows. Massage the temples in circular movements.
The benefits
Regular facial massage not only promotes radiant skin, but also has a relaxing and calming effect. Treat yourself to this little ritual several times a week and enjoy the positive effects on your body and mind.
Stay glowing!
